Aodhan is a Managing Partner at the Mike Murphy Law Group, and is a member of both the Criminal Division and Civil Division of the Mike Murphy Law Group.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Acadia University, Aodhan obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick, earning the Barry Morrison Prize in Legal Writing. After graduating with his J.D., Aodhan returned to Nova Scotia, where he practices out of the Halifax office.

 

Aodhan has held positions on the Law Students’ Society, and the UNB and Acadia Students’ Unions, and within various political organizations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He currently holds positions on the APTLA Board of Directors as the New Lawyers’ Section Chair, and the Education Committee, and has presented at various conferences across Atlantic Canada on new issues in civil litigation.

 

After a 9-day trial, Aodhan’s recent decision of Allen v Doiron, 2026 NBKB 049, is the largest personal injury award in the history of Atlantic Canada, and among the highest in recent years across the country.
